Mute the voices in your head
You follow them instead
Your consciousness, you know
You’re wrong
Mute the outside world, suppress
When they say you’re a mess
Besides all that, just know
You’re strong
Hold me, I feel so lonely,
I need to-, hold a hand
-,Understand
See, I am shaking, fever is making
Me see things that aren’t there
But everywhere!
I lost my sight, I shut my nerves,
I hid, but I still hear it!
I can’t escape, I can’t erase the thoughts,
That you left me with!
Lack of sensation weakens foundation,
Emergence come and hold me close
How the hell can you break these barriers?
Even though I’m already numb…
Will I ever find peace anywhere?
But I stand whatever may come!
Use the words as they were pills
This volume surely kills
I falsely feel relaxed
And calm
Touch too much that I don’t care
You’re empty I can tell,
Hey, letting go might do less harm
Hold me, I am the only,
I need to-, hold a hand
-,Understand
See, I am aching, fever is making
Me see things that aren’t there
But everywhere!
I lost my sight, I shut my nerves,
I hid, but I still hear it!
I can’t escape, I can’t erase the thoughts,
That you left me with!
Lack of sensation weakens foundation,
Emergence come and hold me close
How the hell can you break these barriers?
Even though I’m already numb…
Will I ever find peace anywhere?
But I stand whatever may come!
Ooooh! You’re a fucking nightmare!
A disease of the brain,
A disease of the body,
That stops me from being sane!
Perhaps a softer, more “pop-forward” album compared to Inmazes and Witness however equally as effective. Vola simply know how to make approachable and great music. 8/10 RJ
Every track stands out and really sticks, and everyone on this album brought their A game. It's definitely not as heavy as previous albums, but that doesn't matter because it's their best release to date.
To me, this feels like Shokran reaching their final form, and it's beautiful.
However, the final boss always has another form after the form you thought was the final form, so I can't wait to see what's next! CatMonarchy
