Once I made to think that each of us cover the others back
Now I see that an invisible hand tried to break my neck
Time went by and I realised the hand belongs to you
But I’m strong enough to know how to be my own rescue
I condemn you for what you’ve done
You aim for the sun but kill off everyone
I am forced to walk a path so dark and narrow
So lost along the way what remains is my echo
One, two, one, two – Where are you?!
Lost soul, lost soul where are you?!
You’ve burnt so many feathers, I am amazed you still can fly
Misreading altitudes you think you’re still up high
All around, it’s the destruction that goes with you hand in hand
Why do you want to fly when you can’t even own the land?
I condemn you for what you’ve done
You aim for the sun but kill off everyone
I am forced to walk a path so dark and narrow
So lost along the way what remains is my echo
Where are you lost soul? – I’m the rescue!
Where are you lost soul? – I’m the rescue!
Where are you lost soul? – I’m the rescue!
Where are you lost soul? – I’m the rescue!
You think you’re still up high!
The destruction goes with you!
Perhaps a softer, more “pop-forward” album compared to Inmazes and Witness however equally as effective. Vola simply know how to make approachable and great music. 8/10 RJ
Every track stands out and really sticks, and everyone on this album brought their A game. It's definitely not as heavy as previous albums, but that doesn't matter because it's their best release to date.
To me, this feels like Shokran reaching their final form, and it's beautiful.
However, the final boss always has another form after the form you thought was the final form, so I can't wait to see what's next! CatMonarchy
